Summer Weekender – Lake District

Lake District Weekender 9th-11th June 2023. We’ve talked about organising a weekender for some time now. Well, this year we are doing it. 

The destination is the South Lake District and the historic market town of Ulverston.

Ulverston

The main attraction for the weekend will be a Saturday visit to the Lakeland Motor Museum. You may combine this experience with a lake cruise or heritage steam railway trip. The Lakeland Motor Museum have confirmed their club car park will be made available to us on arrival and we will receive a 10% discount on museum admission prices.

Itinerary

Friday 9th – 1030hrs June

Depart near Hamilton, close to M74 (full details in June Newsletter). 

We will drive south in convoy, stopping off for lunch en route.

The rest of the evening is yours to do with as you please, whether exploring the local area and/or meeting up with other owners for an evening pint in a local inn. 

Saturday 10th June

1030hrs – Depart in convoy for a visit to the Lakeland Motor Museum. After visiting the Museum the day is yours. Visit Windermere for a spot of lunch, lake cruise or steam railway trip if you wish (subject to availability). Combined tickets are available on the day.

Sunday 11th June

1030hrs – Depart in convoy back to Glasgow.

Booking & Further Information

You are responsible for booking your own accommodation. If you cannot commit to the full weekend you are welcome to come and go as you please.

Motor Museum tickets are pay on the day and we’ll receive a club discount of 10% off. Discount does not apply to combined tickets as these are discounted already.
