We were delighted to have no fewer than seven Morris Minors, a Ford Cortina and an MGB roadster on display at the Albion Trust’s 2023 Biggar Rally. We also had one or two members in attendance minus their presently off-the-road cars. This year represented the 50th anniversary of the first Biggar Rally.

The rally raises funds for the Biggar Albion Foundation and Club, which pays for vehicle storage, insurance, heating and lighting for their archives. The archives date all the way back to the inception of the Albion Motor Company.
It is interesting to note that an Albion museum is also being planned at time of writing, to make the vehicles and archives more accessible.

The rally, as ever, features excellent catering facilities and an eclectic mix of pre-1980s vehicles. We’ve put together a few galleries of some of our favourite vehicles from the day.

As the day drew to a close one of our young members kindly stopped to help a broken down Morris Minor owner, who had attended as a member of the public rather than as an exhibitor. With a little investigation a float chamber fault was quickly identified and the car was able to drive home without further issue.
The date for the 2024 event is 11th August.
