Scottish Transport Extravaganza 2024 was hosted at Glamis Castle in Aberdeenshire.
Eight Glasgow Moggies cars set off from Dunblane around 1pm on Friday 12th July for the sixty mile scenic drive through Perthshire to Kirriemuir. Apart from a Google maps detour through Crieff high street and carpark all went well!

It was an early start on the Saturday morning, with 8.30am departure for Glamis Castle. Once we agreed on which pitch we should be, the lay out of the cars began, the club gazebo was assembled, banners displayed and flag hoisted. Another two other club members then arrived make it a ten cars from the Glasgow Moggies!

We also had the pleasure to welcome Gavin Jones from East Coast Moggies to our club stand for the first time.
Thanks must for to Fiona and Katie Robinson for the club picnic they prepared for everyone. Donations towards the lunch etc totalled £70 which we added to our Parkinson’s fundraising.

We are happy to report that the weather was favorable and a great day was had by all. It was then time to retreat to the hotel and recharge for another day on Sunday.
In true Glasgow Moggies style it was another 8.30am departure on the Sunday morning. Cara parked on our pitch we were joined by Nigel from Stirling MGOC in his MG Midget. We look forward to a joint run later in the year with the Stirling MG club.

Some running repairs to Alec Rutherford’s brake lights and indicators successfully completed everyone could relax,
The event was busier on the Sunday again and the weather was on our side. There was lots to see.
We departed for the long drive home around 3.30pm before the field started to clear. We stopped in Perth to refuel both the cars and passengers. We are happy to report everyone made it home safely.
