Exploring Glasgow’s Stunning Street Murals

Our first outing of the 2025 season was a bit earlier this year with a tour of Glasgow city centre murals.

The street murals are helping to rejuvenate Glasgow’s streets and revitalise buildings and vacant sites that look a bit tired, reincarnating them as beautiful pieces of public street art. The first art work was produced in 2008 and this portfolio of completed works has expanded since into a trail through the city.

Our route then travelled from the trendy west end of the city, thought the bustling city centre. We covered a wide selection of Glasgow landmarks (pictures attached). We also happened across a very well turned out bagpiper, who was only too happy to pose for some photographs!

An enjoyable day was had by all. It has set us up nicely for an April tour of the Trossachs with the Royal Scottish Automobile Club and a Drive it Day run through Stirlingshire.
