A combination of mechanical issues and COVID meant that three Moggies had to pull out of the Stirling & District Classic Car Show.
Even the three vehicles that did make it were dogged with a plethora of last minute problems, ranging from snatching brakes and a blowing exhaust to a broken starter motor, a hole in a radiator – and a Midas that refused to start. However, happily all were up and running sufficiently well in time for the trip.
Given their relative geographic locations the three cars made their own way there. There was a brief meeting with the Mini Clan at Stirling Services before heading onto Bridge of Allan.
The weather smiled upon us, to the extent some may now have a little sunburn. Aided by the weather the show was well attended. Hundreds of vehicles of all types were on display, along with good catering facilities and children’s entertainment.

The Glasgow Moggies parked up with the MMOC Scottish Branch, while the Midas was put on display with the Mini Clan.

Contact was made with two new Glasgow area members, one with a lovely Rose White Traveller and the other with a project nearing its final stages of completion. We look forward to giving both a warm welcome at future events.

There was also plenty of time to enjoy a chat with the MMOC, who were showing off a fantastic car (photo above) that had been off the road for many years.
Gallery below shows a very small selection of what was on display.
Definitely a show for your 2023 diary.
